VFC's Mission Vision

Reaching strategic cities in the nations of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Using Gideonite teams to evangelise, disciple, establish Life Groups and pioneer churches
Raising national leaders in VFC-type churches with a vision to reach their nation and beyond.

Victory Family Centre Singapore

From very small beginnings in 1977, Victory Family Centre Singapore (previously Calvary Charismatic Centre) has duplicated itself in the nations of the world. This church has many intentional strategies designed to implement a God-given vision.

Ministry to the Body

The vision begins with growing healthy believers here in Singapore. As a church, we aim to minister to the whole man, ensuring growth and development in every area of a believer's life. To meet these needs, the five-fold mnistry giftings of Apostles, Prophets, Pastors and Evangelists and Teachers have been set in place (Eph 4:11).

The administrative gift undergirds all of these, providing support and co-ordination. These giftings find expression in 13 complementary ministries, targeted at strengthening individuals, through the Life Group (cell group) structure.

The Seven Regions of VFC Singapore

The island of Singapore is divided into seven geographic regions, which are further sub-divided into Divisions, Sections, Zones and household units. Each Region is headed by a Regional Pastor and each Division, a Divisional Overseer. These leaders are responsible for the Life Groups under their respective geographic areas. Each ministry area is looked after by a General Overseer who provides leadership and direction for that ministry under the oversight of the Senior Overseer. The General Overseers work with Regional Overseers by equipping and mentoring Regional Ministers in their gifting areas to ensure that strong, healthy and growing ministries are established in the Regions.

In the missions arena, the Missions Regional Pastor in each Region oversees the church planting missions activities and the resultant pioneer churches. Regional Missions Directors oversee the field activities of the more mature churches.

7 Regions One Body

The creation of the seven geographic Regions forms a key aspect of the strategy to wholistically minister to the body, and to systematically reach Singapore and the world with the Gospel. Every Region has a regional service location, office, Life Groups, strategies for reaching their community and allocated missions target nations. Yet they maintain their identity as one Family, holding fast to corporate plans and vision.

Regionalisation widens the scope for the development of members while providing proximity to Sunday and mid-week services. It also ensures a more personal touch as the church ministers to the needs of the individuals.

Cell Groups

The church is a "cell church", and the cell structure is the undergirding foundation of all other ministries. Weekly meetings in members' homes are called Life Groups. These meetings are a time of relaxed fellowship among friends, learning, sharing and ministering together. The Watchman (leader) facilitiates discussion and creative Bible learning which focuses on real life issues. Every member is encouraged to be a part of a Life Group.

The Christian Development Program (CDP)
VFC has a local church-based training and equipping program. The CDP focuses on the process of maturing Christians in the church by developing them simultaneously in three integrated areas - Bible Knowledge, Ministry Involvement and Personal Development. The CDP is a 10-level program; each of these three areas are expressed at every level.

Bible Knowledge - Life in the Word (LIW) is a Bible-based teaching program allowing students to complete each level as they mature in ministry involvement and personal growth.

Ministry Involvement (ministry experience) is developed and gained as the person is given various ministry responsibilities. A high level of laity involvement provides many opportunities for ministry involvement necessary for growth in the individual's spiritual life.

The Personal Development section of the CDP aims to develop an individual's character, conduct and his personal walk with God. Through one-to-one discipling by other mature Christians in the church, younger Christians begin to steadily advance.

Missions

VFC has divided Singapore into seven Regions with sub-groups called Divisions. The nations of the world have been divided into nine geographic Missions regions with each Singapore Region having responsibility for one-seventh of each of the Mission Regions. That one-seventh is then allocated among specific Singapore Divisons. This is the foundation of "Divisional Missions".

These allocated nations are the spiritual inheritance of the specified Divisions. The Division directs its praying, giving and going towards these nations. The members of each Division seek God's directions as to which cities they will target for church planting, within their allocated nations. Over a 28-month period, the Division will carry out the necessary preparations for reaching these cities. These activities are supported by the Regional and corporate missions specialists
